The International Students Career Services was first conceptualized in 2001 by five pioneering women. They noticed that there was a rapidly growing number of international students and students who wish to work in a global setting at the university. Consequently, this population had expressed a greater need for a career service that targets the unique needs of this population. After years of struggle and hard work, this program celebrated its grand opening in Winter semester 2005. These services have been developed and operated through a joint project of the Center for Multicultural Research, Training, and Consultation & the Career Center, and the Student Success Center, and with cooperation from the International Center, Asian Affairs office and Crosby MBA Program.
