Career Center Website

At ISCS we offer many different services to meet the needs of the international student population. The majority of our services are free for all MU students, staff, and faculty members. Community members and alumni rates can be found on the MU Career Center website.

You can meet with our trained staff members who can assist you in many different career related topics, from a resume critique to discussing how to create a better relationship with your advisor! You do not need an appointment during our walk-in hours (11 am – 3 pm Tuesday – Friday during Fall and Spring semester).

Workshops

We offer semester-long workshops during Fall and Spring semester of each year. These workshops cover various career-related topics tailored to address the vocational needs of international students.

We also offer e-mail consultations on career related topics. If you would like to utilize this service, please e-mail us at iscareer@missouri.edu with the subject title: E-mail consultation.

Mock Interviews

We offer practice interviews with an ISCS staff member. This service is especially valuable if you have specific cultural or international specific questions about interviewing in the U.S.

Outreach

We offer workshops to classes, faculty, or staff on the various career needs of international students on the MU campus. If you would like for us to come and present, please send us the outreach request form at iscareer@missouri.edu.

Library

We have a collection of books, magazines, handouts, and videos that are specific for international students. Please stop by at our office to access these books and publications.

The Job Search Connections (JSC) is an elite group of international students who are between 6 to 8 months away from graduation. This group will allow students to both network with their peers and learn from the group facilitators about the job search process. ISCS often provide the group in winter semesters. If you are looking for a place to volunteer and connect with international and American students, ISCS may be a place for you to donate your time! Currently we have three volunteer teams that work on marketing, newsletter, and work abroad events. The teams will be selected each year.
