What Can I do With a Major
Major: Agronomy
Description of Major: In this program, you will study general plant science, including the breeding, cultivation, and production of agricultural plants. You will also focus on the chemical, physical, and biological relationships of crops and the soils nurturing them, and on the study of rangelands and grasslands and the principles of environmental balance. You will learn about the growth and behavior of agricultural crops, the development of new plant varieties, and the scientific management of soils and nutrients for maximum plant nutrition, health, and productivity. This includes instruction in plant pathology and physiology, weed and crop science, and environmental toxicology.
