Major: Early Childhood Education

Description of Major:

Early childhood education offers degrees such as bachelors, masters, specialist, and doctoral. After completing this major a students is certified to teach from birth to grades K-3 in public schools. Early childhood education has several emphasis areas to choose from: Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Literacy Education, Arts Education, Mathematics Education, Science Education, Social Studies Education, Gifted Education, and Early Childhood Special Education. Special Education includes: General, Cross Categorical, Learning Disabilities, Behavioral Disorders, and Mental Retardation.
