What Can I do With a Major Major: Foreign Languages Description of Major: Study of a foreign language and literature enhances the ability to understand and communicate with people of other nations and cultures, in addition to developing proficiency in reading, writing, and oral expression. In this program, you will learn to speak, listen to, read, and write the language you are studying. You will learn the grammar, syntax, punctuation, and pronunciation of the language. Also you will study about the culture and literature produced in the country and in other areas which speak the language.
