Major: Geological Sciences Description of Major: A degree in Geological Sciences can be a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science. The B.S. curriculum is designed to prepare students to become professional geologists in mining, petroleum, and environmental industries, geological surveys, and for entry into a graduate program in geological sciences. The emphasis of the B.A. curriculum is on environmental issues.
