Major: History

Description of Major:

History is the study and the research of major social, political, cultural and economic events of the past. Applying the results of historical study is important for the preservation and future growth of nations and institutions. Language, social, and teaching abilities characterize historians. They tend to be excellent readers and possess good memories. Intellectual curiosity and creativity are fundamental personal traits for historians as they seek new information about people, things, and ideas. They think logically and, in writing, work methodically and systematically.
