What Can I do With a Major
Major: Math Description of Major: A degree in Mathematics can be a Bachelor of Arts of Bachelor of Science. The BA requires the student to take more courses in behavioral and social sciences, humanities and fine arts, as well as foreign-language courses. The BS requires the student to take more courses in math and science. Mathematics studies quantitative relationships expressed in numbers and symbols and focuses on concepts, theories, formulation, testing, interpretation, and practical application. There are two kinds of mathematics Pure and Applied, there are 7 areas including: arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, probability and statistics.
