What Can I do With a Major
Major: Occupational Therapy Description of Major: In general, occupational therapists help patients improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, and also to aid them in compensating for permanent loss of function. Occupational therapists help clients in performing activities of all kinds by creating a customized treatment program to improve their ability to perform daily activities. These range from using a computer or other tools and equipment required for employment, to caring for daily needs, such as bathing, dressing, cooking, and eating. Physical exercises may be used to increase strength, while paper and pencil exercises may be chosen to improve visual acuity.
