What Can I do With a Major

Major: Physiology

Description of Major:

Branch of biological sciences involving study of life processes and functions. Study requires close observation, recording, and analysis of cellular and sub-cellular constructions, tissues, and organs to understand how they function and why. In this program, you will focus on the scientific study of biochemical and biophysical communications within organisms and between living systems. You may study other related sciences such as molecular and cell physiology, endocrinology, reproductive biology, neurobiology, cardiovascular science, pathology, and oncology and cancer biology. Instruction will include topics in all of these majors, for instance, disease processes, genetic information transfer, cell and molecular biology, gene and cell regulation, reproductive systems, neurotransmission, physiology of specific exercises and activities, ocular development, immunopathology, and growth factors in cancer cells.
