What Can I do With a Major Major: Zoology Description of Major: Major branch of biological sciences involving the study of animals. Ranges from subatomic and cellular level of the smallest organism to the largest water-based mammal Focuses on embryonic development, structure, function of body parts, habitat, and ecological interactions with other living organisms. In this program, you will study the biology of animal species and phyla, with reference to their molecular and cellular systems, anatomy, physiology, and behavior. You will focus on animal life, learning about how animals form, grow, maintain life, reproduce, and interact with each other and with the world around them. You will study basic biology, chemistry, physics, math and statistics, and general zoology courses in order to gain a firm foundation in the field.
