Welcome Incoming Freshmen!
- If you are wondering how to choose your work study job, you have made it to the right place. Back out of this page and click on "Employment Opportunities." However, you must have accepted your work study award and sent in all requested financial paperwork to the Financial Aid Office. Your financial aid folder must have a "complete" status before you can get an on-line work study referral. If your status shows "incomplete" goto myZou to check the status of your application.
- Work study employment is viewed as "real" employment here at MU. By being a good employee, you can get related job experience for your resume and letters of recommendation.
- If you are attending Summer Welcome, we will be hosting work study orientation and job selection sessions for you and your parents. Sessions will be held on Day 2 at 11:00 to 11:20 orientation and individual meetings and job selection from 11:20 to 1:00pm in the Student Success Center.
Literacy Program
Remember...your work study job and your volunteer experiences are excellent to include on a resume. For some tips and samples on resumes and cover letters, refer to our web site. For more information on volunteering, come into our office in Student Success Center.
