A Final Note to All The Seniors

Since we’ve been getting so much rain this past week, we thought we would play along the idea of “April showers bring May flowers” and talk about graduating seniors “blossoming” into the real world. I know, it’s cheesy, but let’s be real seniors– you all have been at this University for four whole years of your life. Some of you have even been here for five, six, seven or eight. You have spent a good chunk of your life here, learning, growing and changing. Everything that has happened here at Mizzou, whether good or bad, has shaped you and prepared you for “the real world.” You may not feel like you’ve changed (I definitely still feel like a freshman some days) but scroll through your Instagram for just one minute and you will see the evidence.

As your Career Center family, we want to provide you all with the tools necessary to take that next step and show the world who you have become. If you go to the Career Center website, you can click on the “Resources” tab and under that tab you can pretty much search for anything: job search websites, internships, networking information, graduate/professional student resources, etc. Be confident in yourself. You are prepared and it’s time to start acting like it. I know it’s easy to get discouraged and overwhelmed by what comes after graduation, but be diligent and it will surely pay off. You are ready.
