Employers

Thank you for considering MU students and alumni in your recruitment efforts! Working together, career services can help you find interns, part-time employees, summer hires and full-time professional staff members to enhance your organization. We are confident that you will find a variety of valuable recruiting options at Mizzou.

Identify your Hiring Needs

  • Are you looking for a particular major? What type of skills and expertise are you seeking?
  • What level is the position? Is it a full-time, part-time or internship position? Is it entry-level or would it require an advanced degree and/or previous work experience?
  • How many individuals do you need to hire? When do you need them to start?

Contact the Appropriate Career Services Office

There are multiple career services offices located on the University of Missouri campus. Based on your needs, it may benefit you to work with more than one office. Career Services personnel work closely together to identify prospective candidates and meet your recruiting needs.

The MU Career Center coordinates all part-time student employment and will make referrals to contacts in Colleges that do not have formal career offices (Arts & Science, Human Environmental Sciences, and Sinclair School of Nursing).

Establish Campus Relationships

Building relationships with students, faculty and staff can help you build greater visibility and generate positive hiring outcomes. Consider participating in career fairs, on-campus interviews, information sessions and career development workshops. You may also sponsor university activities as well as make presentations to student organizations, faculty groups and classes. The career services offices at the University of Missouri can help you plan and coordinate your activities.
