As COVID-19 continues, the MU Career Center would like to take this time to discuss how to best use our services in these crazy times. While we are no longer on Mizzou’s campus, we are still holding our regular services via Zoom (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm).
While the pandemic continues, most students are still adjusting to the change that is college online. This is no different for us at the Career Center. As a staff of student paraprofessionals, we are in the same boat. Taking our services online has been a big change, but we are still here to help. Our staff has also continued our training program through the transition.
Our staff has been using Zoom for meetings and regular shifts. We use breakout rooms when a customer enters our waiting room which is very effective in privately connecting a customer with a Career Specialist for assistance.
We encourage students to not be shy about visiting the “virtual” Career Center during this unprecedented time. Our services are carried out by students too, and we can relate to everything you are going through. It is an ongoing change for all of us, so we ask for your patience as we continue to move forward online.
For more information, please visit career.missouri.edu or our social media pages @MUCareerCenter. We look forward to meeting with you on Zoom for our online services!
