The MU Career Center offers a Selfie Studio where students, faculty and staff can take a professional-looking headshot for their LinkedIn profile and social media accounts. The studio is supplied with professional lighting and equipment made possible by the generous sponsorship of Columbia Safety and Supply.  

Users can easily adjust the lighting levels, take as many photos as they wish, edit their chosen portrait and send it to themselves directly from the studio.  There are printed instructions indicating how to take the best photo and send it to yourself.   

When and Where? 

The Selfie Studio is located within the MU Career Center, on the lower level of the Student Success Center on Lowry Mall. It is available on a drop-in basis when the Career Center is open, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm, each weekday.  There may be a brief wait, but it won’t take more than 5-10 minutes to complete your photo.   

What Should I Wear? 

Your LinkedIn photo should look professional! Come in wearing business attire. You may bring a change of clothes to make sure you look good from the waist up! Your personal grooming is also important. There is a nearby restroom and mirror if you need make sure you have the best look for your photos.
