Handshake: Posting Non-Work-Study Jobs
Faculty and staff are encouraged to work with their HR contacts to post part-time student positions on Handshake, the online employment website for students.
Work-Study Program
The Federal Work-Study program provides funding for part-time, on-campus jobs for eligible undergraduate students during the Fall and Spring semesters. Student Financial Aid Office determines eligibility. The FWS program pays the student wage and helps faculty and staff find qualified students to add to their team.

Hiring Procedures
Connect with your Human Resources contact to begin the hiring process. You will need to provide the following:
- Student Name
- ID number
- Anticipated first day of employment
- Supervisor name
- Supervisor ID number
- Department
- Anticipated hours per week
- Job title
- Job code
- Hourly rate
- MoCode for compensation
Students must complete required forms and New Employee Registration prior to beginning employment. Students will receive an email from Human Resources with instructions. Please consider this requirement when selecting an anticipated start date and refer students to the New Employee Registration webpage for details about required acceptable documents. Refer International Students to the International Students and Scholars Services webpage for information about employment requirements.
