Involvement

Getting involved on campus through intramurals, student organizations or leadership experiences can help you achieve your personal, academic, and professional goals. The Center for Student Involvement provides involvement opportunities, leadership training and volunteer experiences with an emphasis on developing transferable skills for future employment.

Student Organizations: There are more than 500 recognized student organizations and many opportunities for you to connect with fellow Tigers who share your interest and passions.

Leadership and Service: There are a variety of one-time and ongoing service opportunities available locally, throughout the United States and abroad. Check out the service opportunities online or visit service@mizzou on Engage to find upcoming service opportunities.

Why Get Involved?

Studies have shown that students who get involved not only do better in class, but also feel more connected to campus and are more likely to graduate. Getting involved outside of the classroom can also help you discover your true interests, strengths, and values while helping you refine your career goals. It is also a great opportunity to build valuable skills that will benefit you after your time at Mizzou!

Get Started

Set up an appointment with an Involvement Ambassador who will help connect you to resources to get involved on Mizzou’s campus. You may also search for student organizations and intramurals that match your interests.

Promote your Experience

Once you are actively participating in an organization, the MU Career Center can help you share that on your resume, LinkedIn profile and interviews. Begin by viewing our hands-on learning resume samples and visit us to discuss how to communicate your extracurricular experience with employers and others.
