Payroll & Direct Deposit
Please note that you will receive pay for hours worked and monies will be directly directly deposited, bi-weekly (every other Wednesday) into a bank account of your choice. Your earnings will not be credited to your University account. Families which expect students to use portions of their Federal Work-Study earnings to pay University expenses must make the appropriate arrangements with the Cashier’s Office.
You and your employer should discuss your work and class schedule before you are hired each semester. Students are not permitted to work in a work study position during scheduled class time. You need to balance your class schedule and commitments with the needs and demands of the office. To calculate the number of hours you should work each week use this formula:
Semester Award Amount ÷ Hourly Pay ÷ 15 Weeks = Average Hours per Week
